How long does it take for my adoption to be finalized and to bring home my adopted animal?

We are usually able to finalize an adoption within 1-3 days depending on how fast we hear back from provided references, receive homechecks and you are able to meet with the animal you are wanting to adopt.

Adoption process

•  Fill out an adoption application. 

•  The application will be reviewed by a member of our team.   Please inform your provided references that a GFAR team member may be in contact with them.  Delays in hearing back from references delay's the adoption process.  

•  Once your application is approved a team member will in contact with you via email with a contract to review and request for home check pictures. Home checks are to ensure the animal is being adopted to a safe environment.   

• The final step is to set up and meet and greet with the animal and the foster.
